So after weeks of speculation, MM can finally confirm, K24 has given Louis Otieno the walk to the staircase (wana lift kweli?). No, he didn’t quit … he was fired! *Deeeeep sigh*
I’m sure this week; trucks will pull up at the K24 office to start packing up his ego. Louis Otieno for those who don’t know was ONCE the best news anchor in the country. Until he discovered older women, Pajeros, perfumes, lipbalm (ama ni mafuta ya samak?) and gold chains. The brotha started on his slippery slope.
Remember Louis on Nation TV alongside Beatrice Marshall?? Now that was a super TC team. Louis then left Nation for KTN … he built a BRAND for himself, this eloquent young man with good looks (On the good looks eeerr ladies say he looks good. End of discussion)
He was then poached by Citizen and soon he let his ego out of the closet, he became a diva, dictating which days he could read news (No man wants to cancel his mani-pedi) He was given a talk show, a show that was VERY well executed for months, until he sorta became bored. He’d show up minutes to the live show. He refused to research on anything; soon his show was to go around the country. Louis one day missed his anchoring duties because he refused to take the flight back to Nairobi. He was suspended by SK
Weeks later, when a sponsor showed interest in his show, Louis had a fight with RMS over revenue. He wanted them to split the sponsorship cash 50/50 per episode!! They told his FUCK NO! And he quit … days later he was signed to K24. There he was given the space between the kitchen and the emergency exit to use as his set. This is when we say him in his true marangis. As his guests were sipping on water, Louis was sipping on JUICE!! On one interview he had on ‘Shades’ on TV!

UPDATE Kumbe Louis has been stuffing clean crisp notes into his man nyonyos!!! He and wifey have not paid K24 it’s cut of the UNDP cash (From the show he was runnin) his car has already been confiscated

Are we really sincere ,remember he is still a Kenyan and no matter what there is still something good in him that me and you dont have ,can do something that we can not do.People who are busy doing nothing cannot fail. Lui has failed once because he was doing something.

Okay am a man and there is something with men and EGO (Not an acronym but a “disease” all men have) But in this guy’s case I think its acute Egocytis. I would recommend 6 months injection with Hypochlorodifloromethane with a little tinge of Eucalyptus flavour to cool him off- NB: To be administered intravenously…Auch! LMFAO ; ).

I sympathy with our very good friend anchor Louis. I loved to watch him read the news and the shows he used to host. Yes, in life there are lessons we need to learn, some of them we learn the hard way. Its may prayer that LO rises up to occassion of humbling himself, ask God to forgive him and also forgive himself. Am sure after this ,he will rise again and shine.
God always gives as another chance in life, so Louis go back to God and he will cause you to rise and shine again. Am a mother, and I dont condemn you neither does my God. Please embrace this chance God is giving you and see you again on top as you share to others about the Love of God and mercies.

I hope he reforms, its never too late. One thing he has to learn is to keep his ego aside. The guy is good at his work. He is very talented. What he lacks is the sympathy from the public coz he has brushed many of them in the wrong way. Jamaa anamadeni kibao and l doubt if atalipa zote. Can’t celebrate on others downfall because it adds no value to self. This is a sad case of untamed ego and lack of genuine friends to offer advice at the earliest warning signs and possibly a serious wake up call to all of us since we are celebs in our own rights and capacities. growth is the only evidence in life and yes Louis had an opportunity of a life time when he was at Citizen TV but his egocentric nature has made him lose all. Look at the likes of Jully.Tom Mboya, Belinda, Kasavuli, Mdoe and now the sensational hot looking Lilian Muli will be on air as from today friday 1st April. They all had their differences but this did not stop them from moving on they are still growing.

There is time for everything. There is time to climb and reach the top and either remain there or time for whirlwind fall to the ground! Otieno was a darling of TV viewers in the 1990’s. He didnt have an ego as we saw when he joined Royal media. His shenenigans with Ms Kibukosya must have infuriated His god and that relationship saw the beggining of his inflated ego. You could tell after he left Royal media that circumstatnces in his life had changed. He stopped the swagger, he reduced weight and lost his self confidence as we saw him at K24. Ask any man who has fallen from grace and they shall tell you the cause of their careers and professions going down hill is because of a woman!
