The Kenya Ports Authority Managing Director last weekend had a major scare when the car he was involved in rolled several times.

However, contrary to our earlier story, Mr. Gichiri Ndua the KPA MD was not injured.

According to the KPA Public Relations Officer, Mr Benard Osero, Mr. Ndua escaped the accident without a scratch but the  KPA General Manager incharge of Infrastructure Eng. Abdullahi Samatar wasn’t so lucky as he sustained minor injuries. He was attended to at Taveta District Hospital together with the driver and was discharged.

Mr. Ndua pictured below continued with the official function with the rest of the KPA team where they had a meeting with the DC Taveta and other government officials. He also led the KPA team in surveying the KPA plot at the border point on which it intends to construct a dry port once the road between Voi and Taveta is tarmacked.
