  1. One thing i don’t understand is why are kenyans pointing their fingers to agwambo yet every eventuallity has its repercutions. Balala, Ruto and even Mudavadi were recognised by Kenyans because of Raila who took them to the cabinet. But after filing their bellies to the fullest now Raila has become their greatest enemy.Ahsante ya punda ni mateke.2013 will come how i long to see such personalities grinding their teeth. Ole wenu msiofungua macho mukaona mbele.FACT: ODM IS THERE TO GROW STRONG WITH OR WITHOUT MUDAVADI

  2. Great minister?I dont think so.The ministry has a team of competent staff led by the PS who run the ministry’s affairs.Balala only used to read prepared speech and make appearances in events he didnt know how they came about. For those who do not know, we have many best performing ministers but Balala wasnt one of them, only a ceremonial chief in the ministry who incessantly (well, forget about his confidence)embarrassed ministry staff with his broken english.During an interministerial function at a Mombasa hotel in 2009, Balala was given a speech to be read by a tourism lobby chief by accident but he knowingly went ahead and read it with its scathing attacks instead of asking for the right speech. Many Kenyans can run the ministry, so he should bow out gracefully….

  3. Ever since ODM was formed after the famous Orange victory in a referendum, the architects are moving out of the party and in all cases because Raila doesn’t want to be challenged. He is indeed a dictactor, sacking a minister just because he refuses to boot lick you is impunity of hieghst order. Balala was moved out of cabinet and he was playing a very big role to the economy of the entire country but he was not satisfying only one person’s interest… funny. we should reject such leaders and leadership

  8. frankly speaking, i do not agree with the sacking. the man has done a commendable job, remember when he was mayor of mombasa, he managed to clean up the city and set up the stage to brand mombasa. white at the tourism ministry he did the same. one cannot expect things to run by themselves ….its teamwork and most importantly it has everything to do with the team leader. as far as politics is concerned the prime minister will reap from his actions. balala may not have a huge following but you cannot underestimate the his influence and association with those who call the shots in mombasa. this is what the Pm should have thought. to wrap it up, am really worried at the trend the that the PM is setting… he seems to be desparate at something and would do anything to get it….even at the best interest of the nation.

  13. Somehow, yap.
411 shouldn’t be taking sides. It’s evident that Balala had ditched ODM, the party gave him that ticket.
He has been a humongous barrier to Raila’s prosperity everytime the PM has had a rally in coast.
He couldn’t bear the heat in the party, what next, ditch!
It must be noted, however, that he was amongst the most industrious minister, but without discipline…

  14. I dont think it was right ,since Blala ha done a lot in puting back the tourism industry on its feet, but like they say politics is a dirty game ,all that has happened has to do with the coming elections and Raila is picking those who will help him get to power.

  17. I think it was right to sack the minister because he defied the sponsoring party on whos behest he held the position. We need politicians who espouse party discipline so that the citizens are not short changed as has happened every time after elections as corruption networks are aligned .
